Transformers Constructicon

Transformers Constructicon Devastator is a supreme combiner toy from Hasbro.  It is based on the character of Devastator in the new Revenge of the Fallen Transformers 2 movie.  Though Transformers has regained its popularity due to its 2 feature films, Transformers have been around forever.  Hasbro bought the rights back in 1984 and has since brought the Transformers Brand from toys to cartoon animations and now to the movies that are popularizing the toys to the masses. 

The Transformers Constructicon Devastator is a key villain in the current movie.  The fact that it is the biggest Constructicon Toy built makes it is a very popular toy this year.  It towers over both Autobots and fellow Decepticons. 

Supreme Combiner Constructicon Devastator

The supreme combiner transforms from six construction vehicles into the mighty Constructicon Devastator complete with the Vortex Grinder mouth that can be opened with a lever.  The action figure includes electronic speech and motion activated sounds.  The lights and destruction sounds also add to recreating scenes from the movie right in your house.  The constructicons that are included are LONGHAUL, MIXMASTER, SCAVENGER, RAMPAGE, SCRAPPER, and HIGHTOWER.  They make up a traditional bunch of construction vehicles a bulldozer, a dump truck, an excavator, a scoop loader, a mixer and a crawler crane.  Be sure to note that the vehicles can be combined into Devastator but can not be tranformed to decepticons from their vehicle forms.

Because of its small parts it is recommended for ages 5+.  Though it is a toy, many toys in the transformer line are also considered collectibles.

Inside Scoop

Of note, in many of the reviews online it is noted that the combining of the transformers constructicon toy is not easy.  It is considered a challenge for younger kids so some adult help may be required to put it together and decombine it particularly at first.  This toy goes by both transformers construction devastator and transformers constructicon devastator.  Buy this toy early to avoid disappointment!
